V & J's Honeymoon

We had a wonderful Honeymoon. First we went to Sedona, Arizona, and stayed for two nights at a famous resort. It was in February and it was cold. Sedona is in the red rock country and it is higher than Phoenix. We were so lucky. It snowed for us, not a lot but it was exciting and we were very happy.

We then flew to San Francisco where we stayed for seven days. We did the usual fun things while we were there: We went to Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, rode the Cable Car and took a tour of the wine country, including Napa Valley.

Here I am at Sutter's Home in the wine country. Our favorite wine is white Zinfandel, which was first made by Sutter's Home Wines. Of course, we sampled and bought.

This is our Celebrity Cruise Ship, The Summit. It had only been in service for about one year, so it was beautiful, all new and shiny.

Here we are with the two couples we had dinner with each evening. They were very nice, friendly and interesting people. The man standing behind me was a design/engineer. He had been in charge of all the lighting on our ship, the plans, fixtures, wiring, etc.

We flew from San Francisco to Anchorage, Alaska. We visited with friends there then we took the train to Seward where we boarded our Celebrity Cruise Ship, The Summit. We made port stops at Juneau, Skagway and Sitka. We docked at Vancouver, flew to San Francisco for two more nights, then we flew home to Phoenix. Thank You, Lord.

That was 2002. It is now September 14, 2006. We have had four and one-half years of happiness. And again, we thank You, Lord. And we thank our families and friends for making our lives truly wonderful.
